This painting is one of the 36 paintings of Sydney I plan to create. Since my arrival in Australia, I have been captivated by the natural and cultural beauty of this wonderful land. My work is a fusion of traditional Chinese painting and Western painting, highlighting the essence of traditional Chinese art’s capability to capture the Yi Jing (意境) of the subject we wish to paint. The painting is created using gouache and watercolours, and the original painting is not available for sale. However, I have prepared this fine art print for a limited edition of 100 copies, each signed in traditional Chinese calligraphy, and a seal is applied to the lower corner of the print. If you prefer the signature is not on the front, please leave a message, and a new print will be made for you. I will sign it on the back or issue a certificate of authenticity.
This painting is a detailed and delicate portrayal of nature, featuring the Noisy Miner, a bird native to Australia. It is composed of three birds perched amidst a verdant backdrop of leaves and branches. The foliage, painted in various shades of green, creates a lush and layered appearance that seems to shimmer with life. Amongst the leaves are clusters of white flowers with yellow centres, adding a gentle contrast to the greenery. The birds are rendered with meticulous attention to detail, from their soft grey feathers to their distinctive yellow patches and orange beaks. The overall effect is serene and naturalistic, with the birds appearing calm and at home in their leafy environment. The painting captures a moment of quiet harmony in the Australian bush, inviting the viewer to contemplate the beauty of these common yet enchanting avian residents.
The print is framed with a minimalist frame depicted in the picture, and an extra heavyweight mat board is placed between the front mount and the frame base for enhanced protection and to facilitate the easy removal of the artwork.
