This painting is one of the 36 paintings of Sydney I plan to create. Since my arrival in Australia, I have been captivated by the natural and cultural beauty of this wonderful land. My work is a fusion of traditional Chinese painting and Western painting, highlighting the essence of traditional Chinese art’s capability to capture the Yi Jing (意境) of the subject we wish to paint. The painting is created using gouache and watercolours, and the original painting is not available for sale. However, I have prepared this fine art print for a limited edition of 100 copies, each signed in traditional Chinese calligraphy, and a seal is applied to the lower corner of the print. If you prefer the signature is not on the front, please leave a message, and a new print will be made for you. I will sign it on the back or issue a certificate of authenticity.

The painting depicts a scene of urban tranquility at dusk, with a palette of soft pinks and purples painting the evening sky. A bus travels along a winding road, hinting at the quiet end of a day in Sydney. Above, birds take flight from their perches on power lines, adding life and movement to the calm suburban street. The contrast between the high-rise building in the distance and the traditional houses nestled amongst the verdant foliage captures the diverse character of the city. This moment of daily transition is portrayed with a sense of peaceful coexistence between the natural and built environments.

The print is framed with a minimalist frame depicted in the picture, and an extra heavyweight mat board is placed between the front mount and the frame base for enhanced protection and to facilitate the easy removal of the artwork.
